This in-person course prepares youth ages 11-16 to safely and confidently care for children and infants. It includes hands-on activities, videos, and discussions to develop essential, real-life readiness babysitting skills. The course covers feeding, diapering, picking up and holding children, safety, and emergency response. Participants receive a 10-year Babysitter's Training certificate upon completion.
This course includes Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED training. Students will learn how to perform CPR on a child and infant, use of an AED, and how to respond effectively to medical emergencies. After successful completion of this portion of class, participants receive an American Red Cross First Aid CPR AED certification, valid for 2 years.
